Since the front speakers are rated at 75 watts, you shouldn’t really go over that, but under a little bit is fine. Boston Acoustics makes an amp that runs 70 watts RMS @ 4ohm x 4 channels (GTA-704). Boston makes a really nice amp and it’s not expensive either.

Answer to question posted on my Blueant S4 Review video about the Cruiser 2 vs Blueant S4 Bluetooth speaker phone system. Quick answer is I would pick the Blueant S4 over the Cruiser 2. Pickup sound quality on both is on par, but the speaker on the Cruiser 2 is worse. Blueant S4 lacks the FM transmission capability. Blueant also has voice recognition, but that’s only a minor plus for me at this point.

Question by crzy_carmello: Car speakers…???? speaker issues!!! gahhh?
Okay I have an aftermarket radio and speakers in my car no sub/amp.
My speakers have randomly started popping/crackling.
Also the music well it sounds like its skipping like a cd skips, but its actually the speakers “skipping” the audio is playing but the speakers go in and out. So its like sound, no sound, sound, no sound(sounds like cd skips but most definitely isnt)

So whats wrong? How can I fix it?

either there is a bad connection behind the cd player, the amp on the cd player is going out, or your speakers are blown. if your speakers are still factory then most likely they are blown.

Here’s my car again in a little demo! I have some upgrades tho… I made a new trunk board for my new rear speakers (Phase Linear PCS 693) and i fine tuned the equalizer and the amps. you need to amp your speakers. the distortion is because your head unit is out of power. it not the speakers it your head unit..the amp in it is clipping..
