What can I do to make my speakers sound better… Altec Lansing BX1121?

I run an alienware windows vista with a Realtek HD auto component, my old speakers didnt have this problem, but i bought the BX1121 Altec Lansing speakers, and some of the singing cutys out in music and has a weird electronic noise at some points. is there any way to configure my computer better so my sound is better?

it should be in your sound card, some how you plugged into the digital output. trying other jack from you sound card, or from your input speaker/.
